Obituary of Antonio Amato

AMATO, Antonio Passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved father, father-in-law and "Papa Tony". He is now reunited with his love Filomena (2013) with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Loving father of John and Adele, Anna and John Mancina. Proud Papa Tony of Mena and Doug McLean, Tony and Shelley Amato, Angela, Christina, Frank, and Matthew Mancina. The joys of his life Ethan, Audrey, Maddex, and Evelyn. Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Maria Amato. Dear brother to Benardo (2012) and Maria Amato, Franco and Santina Amato, Giovanni and Marie Amato, Rosetta and Frank Perri, and Domenico and Giovanna Spadafora. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends in Canada, USA, and Italy. Tony was proud of his family, his work and his beautiful garden. Thank you to CCAC and Hospice of Windsor for their wonderful care and support for our father, especially Teresa for her many years of service for our parents. E. on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
