MURDOCK, Stella Marie (Nee Boudreau) It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Stella Marie Murdock, born October 1 8th 1929 Bathhurst, New Brunswick. Stella is survived by her five children Michael (Late Margaret), Dennis, Ronald (Maggie), Ann (Phillip) and Alan all of Windsor. Seven grandchildren, Liisa (Steve), Carrie (Jason), Bryce, Nicole, Jason, Scott and Samantha and her five great grandchildren, Gavin, Braydan, Maya, Jace and Savannah. She is also survived by brother in law Jack Murdock (Kathy) and sister’s in-law Betty and Irene and nephew's Donald (Teri), Fred (Judy), Jack Kingston and niece Patsy Toner and many grand nephews and nieces. She will be missed by her best friends Sue and Ian Fraser of Michigan, along with Joan, Judy, Darleen, Gloria, Lois and her many friends and acquaintances in Solidarity Towers where she enjoyed living for more than twenty-eight years before moving to Devonshire Retirement Home in 2017 and finally Banwell Gardens Long Term Care Home in 2018. Stella spent most of her working life in catering, many of those years employed at the Chicken Court in Windsor where she helped cater to many notable people including the Prime Minster of Canada Paul Martin and Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev. Stella enjoyed cooking and baking especially for the holidays, playing euchre and listening to country music. A lifelong Tigers and Red Wings fan she tried not to miss a game on TV. She had a good memory and quick sense of humor and loved telling stories especially about her early life in New Brunswick. She will be fondly remembered by many including her long time Physician Dr. Frank Demarco who always made her smile when he called her "Stella by Starlight" how appropriate as she loved angels. Her light may have gone from us but the memories will remain forever.
