Obituary of Joseph Wilfred Leclair

LECLAIR, Joseph, Wilfred (Fred) Passed away peacefully on February 7, 2015 at WRH " Ouellette Campus at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Gougeon) whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage with on September of 2014. Predeceased by his parents Elzar and Emma Leclair, and his siblings Henry, James, Jeannette, and Irene. Lovingly remembered by his sisters Cecile Menard-Huleatt of Blind River, ON, and Marguerite Gauvreau of Markham, ON. Also remembered by his brother Joe (Joan) Leclair of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and Paul (Shirley) Leclair of Arnprior, ON. Brother-in-law of Patrick Gougeon of Schumacher, ON, Marcel (Angie) Gougeon of Timmins, ON, Jacques (Mary) Gougeon of Pincourt, Que, Pierre (Marlene) Gougeon of Ottawa, ON, Angele Perreault of Timmins, ON, Marie-Paule (Jean) Guenette of Timmins, ON, and Darquise Deschamp of Sturgeon Falls, ON. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Fred was a member of the Windsor Riverside Lion"s Club for over 50 years. He was also past president from 1988-89 and 2008-09. He received a life membership from Lion"s International as well as the Helen Keller Award and Melvin Jones Award. Fred was retired from Ford Motor Company. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff at WRH " Ouellette Campus 6th floor and ICU for their compassionate care of Fred. Also a special thank you to all neighbours, friends, and Dennis Spray who is always there for us. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. Memorial visitation will take place at St. Jerome Church (3739 Ypres Ave) on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. There will be a Lion"s Club service at 10:30 a.m. Donations made to a charity of choice in memory of Fred are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
