Obituary of Albert Richard DeLuca

DeLuca, Albert Richard "Big Red"-"Duke" Born December 11, 1930, in Windsor, Ontario, passed away peacefully after a short battle with congestive heart failure at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus just after midnight on January 2, 2015, at the age of 84. Albert is reunited with his loving wife, Margaret (Madach) November 1994. He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Lucy DeLuca and sister Norma Fitzgerald. He is survived by his four children, Denise DeLuca-Walsh (John), Richard "Rick" DeLuca (Lori Bogucki), Diane Lucas (Paul), Gina Cuthbert (Jason) and five grandchildren Thomas, Abigail, Jessica, Vanessa and Bali. Albert attended Assumption High School and participated in many sports. His love of baseball earned him a position as first baseman in the minor leagues. Al retired as Chief of Security from the General Motors Transmission Plant in 1985. He enjoyed his time on the golf course, stopping in at the Knights of Columbus Branch #4386 to reminiscence with old friends and a good game of cards with his neighbours at Kensington Court. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Sunday January 4, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Private burial will be held at a later date.
