Obituary of Marica Jagatic

JAGATIC, Marica (nee Gaspic). November 1, 1919 - December 25, 2014 Entered peacefully into Eternal Life on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014 at Banwell Gardens Nursing Home at the age of 95 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Juraj Jagatic (1945). Loving Mother to Barica Jurcic of Lazina, Draganic, Croatia and her late husband Tomo (1999), and Tomo (Tom) Jagatic Sr. and wife Mary of Windsor. Cherished Grandmother (Baba) to Zeljko Jurcic and wife Kristina of Croatia, Tom (T.J.) Jagatic Jr. and wife Paulette of Tecumseh, ON., and Tihomir Jurcic and wife Karolina of Croatia. Adored Great-Grandmother (Pra-Baba) to Kristian, Margareta and Kresimir Jurcic; all of Croatia, and Gabriella, Luka and Isabella Jagatic of Tecumseh, ON. Predeceased by parents Ivan Gaspic (1984) and Barbara (nee Zupanic) (1923); sister Klarica Valetic and husband Luka, and niece Ana Zrinscak and husband Mijo. Marica was affectionately known as "Stara Kuma" by her extended family members, Ivan and wife Barbara Bilicic and family, Mijo (Mike) and wife Maria Jagatic and family, and Josip (Joe) and wife Anica Jagatic and family. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful and caring staff at Banwell Gardens Nursing Home for their friendship and compassionate care provided to Baba. Friends will be received at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Sunday at 8 pm. Funeral Services on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 9:15 am from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund.
