Obituary of Ellen C. Tickner

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ellen Tickner on December 17, 2014 at the age of 90. Cherished wife of Stanley Tickner (1970). Loving mother to Ellen (Lewis) Mayea, Patricia (Ken) Ladouceur, and Arthur Tickner. Predeceased by her parents James and Agnes Moody. She is survived by her brother Bill (Starr) Moody and sister Anne Holder. Predeceased by her brothers James and David (Elsie). She will be missed dearly by her 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. Long time secretary of St. Clair College. Faithful St. Paul's United Church Member. Proud Veteran and Legion Member. Ellen was known for her love of darts, golf and playing cards. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. On Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
