Obituary of Lillian Viola Girard

GIRARD, Lillian (nee Ireland) Born December 3, 1917 in Windsor. Passed away peacefully on November 17, 2014 at Extendicare Tecumseh. Survived by her son Charles Girard, daughter Ruth Anne Oprenchok (late husband Jimmy). Cherished grandmother to Patrick Girard, Michelle Quennville (Niles), Monique Girard, Karen Oprenchok, Nancy Fry (Greg) and predeceased by Steven Girard. Dear Great grandmother of Sara Girard, Colin Girard, Lauren Fry and Adam Fry. Great great grandmother of Jonathon Girard. Lillian is survived by her sisters Eveline Strudwick and Betty Shaw. Predeceased by brothers Ernest Ireland, Clarence Ireland, Charles Ireland, sisters Marie Lawrie, Marjorie Cooney and Florence Peltier. Dear friend of Shari Fazekas and the late Sam Fazekas. Lillian and her late husband Francis were founding members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Windsor. Thank you to the excellent Caregivers at Extendicare Tecumseh for their patience, love and kindness while caring for Lillian. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Thursday November 20, 2014 from 7-9pm. Parish prayers Thursday at 7:30pm. Relatives and friends will be received at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (804 Grand Marais Rd. E.) on Friday November 21, 2014 from 10:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
