Obituary of Ernest Wilfred Rabideau

RABIDEAU, Ernest Wilfred Passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, with his family by his side, on November 3, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Reunited with his beloved wife, of 65 years, Rita (2011). Loving father of Ernestina and the late Dave MaGee, Susan Masse, Michael and Blanche Rabideau, Patrick and Gladys Rabideau, and Timothy and Kristine Rabideau. Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and their spouses, 16 great grandchildren and 2 on the way, and 2 great great grandchildren. Ernest was a proud veteran who served his country in the Navy during WWII, and was also a member of the R.C.L. Branch 594. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. There will be a Veteran"s Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran"s Memorial Service Committee at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Center Foundation are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
