Obituary of Douglas Allard Kenney

KENNEY, Douglas "Skippy" God needed a plumber in Heaven. Passed away on October 29, 2014 at the age of 83. Dearest husband to Beverly. Loving father to Connie Kenney, Cathy Dranchak and husband Paul , Colleen Hastings and husband Brian , Kevin Kenney, Kelly Kenney and wife Angie, and Korey Kenney. Cherished grandfather to Somer, Carrie, Nicholas, Spencer, Paul, Erin, Heather and Klinton, and to 10 great grandchildren. Brother to Richard, Dennis, John, Bobby, Dodie, and Susan. Will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Douglas was an active business man in the city for over 50 years. He founded Skippy's Plumbing and Skippy's Donuts. He was a loving husband for 62 years and a great dad and loved all of his grand and great-grandchildren. He loved to travel and he enjoyed driving his scooter around town. He especially loved sitting in his chair on the front porch. He passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital Met. Campus after terrific care from doctors and nurses on several floors. Special thanks to Mary Lou in housekeeping for putting a smile on Dad"s face every time she came in to visit. E. on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
