Obituary of Leo Suchiu

SUCHIU, Leo Passed away on October 7, 2014 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of Eugenia Oancia and predeceased by his first wife Katherine (1995). Cherished father of Edward Suchiu and wife Kathleen, and the late Carol Lee Suchiu. Dear Step-Father of Caron Lee and husband David. Dear Grandfather of Lee Suchiu, Jason Suchiu, Tracie Delisle, Kim Magnan, Lyndsey Suchiu, and Courtney Suchiu. Great-Grandfather of Mitchel and Emilee Suchiu, Spencer and Zachary Delisle, and Nathan Magnan. He is predeceased by 6 siblings. Leo is a long time retiree after 32 years of dedicated service at General Motors and was a WWII Veteran. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Veteran Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran"s Memorial Service Committee will be held at 7:00 p.m. and prayers at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. George's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral (1960 Tecumseh Rd E.) for 9:00 a.m. until time of Service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. George Sandulescu officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
