Obituary of Michael Francis Ferrigan

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 1, 2014 at the age of 66 years. Cherished husband and best friend of Charmaine (nee Janisse). Proud father of Chris, Amy (Craig) and Lori. Beloved Papa to Alyssa and Ethan. Dear Brother of Don (Sian) Ferrigan. Pre-deceased by parents Joe and Helen Ferrigan. Dear son-in-law of Roland and the late Alice Janisse. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. He was humble and befriended people from all walks of life treating everyone he encountered with decency and respect. If called upon for help he was there. Past President of CUPE 543, Mike retired from the City of Windsor after 30 years of dedicated service. Mike volunteered many hours as a scout leader, also with Charity House with Father Paul and Crossroads with Tim Baxter. Arrangements have been entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. At Mike's request in lieu of flowers donations to an educational trust fund for his grandchildren Alyssa Vermette and Ethan Yohnicki, envelopes available at the funeral home.
