Obituary of Daniel Lawrence Blais
BLAIS, Daniel "Danny" Passed away peacefully on September 18, 2014 at the age of 58 years. Beloved husband and best friend to Darlene (nee Pitre). Loving father to Derek (Annette) and D.J. (Gabrielle). Loving grandfather to Ricky and Jamie-Lynne. Dear son of the late Andre Blais, survived by Barbara and Phil Labute. Dear brother to Wayne (Pam), Janine (Wayne) Poupard, Chris (Lisa), and Kelly (Tim) White. Son in-law to the late Alvin (Toto) and Dolores Pitre, brother in-law to Sandra (Randy) Dame, Doug (Sharon) Pitre, Juanita (Rick) Chittle, Cheryl (Randy) Coomber and Shawn (Jeanine) Pitre. Danny will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as his fury companion Tyson. Danny was a member of the slo-pitch community especially the Windsor Chiefs. He was a head referee and chief of minor hockey in Tecumseh and an OMHA supervisor. Danny worked at Anchor Danly for many years. A special thank you to the Staff at Hospice and 4th Floor Oncology Unit at Met Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (corner of Tecumseh and Banwell) on Sunday September 21, 2014 from 7-9pm and Monday September 22, 2014 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Monday at 7:30pm. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 10:00am in the Chapel. Interment to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery. In memory of Danny, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor or Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.
