Obituary of Millicent Louise Hughes

HUGHES, Millicent Louise (nee Camp) Passed away peacefully on August 18, 2014 with family by her side at the age of 83 years. Born July 16, 1931 in Owen Sound, Ontario. Moved to Bracknell Berkshire, England before WWII and returned to Owen Sound after the war. Beloved wife of Angus, married January 12, 1950. Loving mother of Geoffrey (Joy), Paul (Lynda), Peter (Jan), Teresa (Dan), predeceased by daughter Belinda, Philip (Leanne) and Christopher. Reunited with her parents Herbert and Daisy May. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Joel, Jessica, Shannon, Jennifer, Keith, Peter, Christopher, Johnathon, Madison, Ryan, Melissa, Michael, Sarah, Haley, Carter and Spencer. Also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Nancy, Wendy, Doug, predeceased by Don, Geoff, Ted, Joan and Bernard. Millicent was an avid golfer years ago at Twin Oaks and volunteered at Hotel Dieu Hospital. She loved a good joke and had a dry sense of humour. She made many people laugh. She had a passion for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was fond of all animals especially her many pets. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday August 21, 2014 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Thursday at 4:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday August 22, 2014 at St. Theresa Church (1991 Norman) from 10:00 am until time of funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
