Dear Mike, Karen, Tom et al. We have all lost a dear kind brother, father, cousin and friend. I have fond memories of Paul as I grew up in Windsor. Paul was the slightly older cousin and of course I was closer to Mike and Tom in age. I went to school with Judith Morse. I often saw Paul on my many visits to my mother at Sunrise. He often visited her as it was just up the road. Of course we met many times at Merlo, Ray and St. Louis funerals all of which Paul attended. More recently Paul and Mike came to our and Katherine's cottage on Hamilton Island. Paul came alone last year as part of his family's vacation and we had a wonderful time. Paul always took time to keep us up to date on what was happening in the Ray family and you could see how much he loved and had an interest in all his progeny. I actually had talked to him about coming this summer, by train if he couldn't drive. Katherine and Anthony were especially saddened to hear of Paul's passing. Mike - you and Leslie have to pick up where Paul left off. All the rooms of the cottage have been updated and Fran & I would love to have you visit next year - I'm sure Paul would have come this year if he was well enough. Maybe you could bring along Tom & Marie. The Merlo family extends it's deepest sympathy to all the Ray family.
