Obituary of Michael Curcione

Michael Curcione age 91, of Windsor On., passed away on July 11, 2020. Michael came to Windsor in 1948 through Val d’Or, Quebec from Figline Vegliaturo, Italy. Shortly after arriving in Windsor he started working at Mario’s Tavern as a dishwasher and worked his way to become Maitre d’ of the restaurant. He moved on from there to become Maitre d’ of Maxwells Restaurant in the Holiday Inn on Riverside Drive in Windsor. He worked at Maxwell’s until his retirement in 1993. We will miss his caring heart and fierce independence. Michael is survived by his sister-in-law Diana (wife of his brother Dante), his nephews Peter (Michelle) and Michael (Christina) Curcione and their children Dante, Olivia, Claudia and Anthony. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7234 on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 11am until time of Funeral Service at 1pm. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 the immediate family would like to offer their sincere apologies for not being able to cross the border to mourn with friends and family at the visitation or service.
