Obituary of Lino Vadori

VADORI, LINO Born May 15, 1930 in Morsano al Tagliamento, Italy. Died peacefully surrounded by his family on July 8, 2014, after many years of perseverance and 'coraggio.' Married 59 years to the loving Arda (nee Stocco), and dedicated father to Bert Vadori (wife Diane), Diane Brescacin (husband JP), and Donna Vadori (late husband Luigi 'Bibi' Catani). Huge supporter of his six grandchildren (Greg and Chris Vadori, Carly, Jenna and Jordan Brescacin, and Michele Catani) and two great-grandchildren (Jaxon and Nash Vadori). Son to the late Ida and Umberto Vadori, and loyal brother to Cristina, Elsa, Valentino, Lucia, Alba, Franco, and Valerio. After leaving an opportunity to play for AC Milan and arriving in Canada in 1950 from Italy, Lino played soccer for Caboto and was Italia's Most Valuable Player for the Canadian National Soccer League in 1955. He was a member of the Fogolar Furlan Club and Caboto Club. Lino had an incredible sense of humour all the way to the end, and will be pleasantly remembered and missed by his entire family and all those who knew him. The family would like to thank all doctors, especially Dr. John Minardi, nurses and staff that cared for him at Windsor Regional Hospital, CCAC and Paramed. E. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum) for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
