Obituary of Dragica "Caroline" Piskovic

Piskovic, Dragica “Caroline”(nee Relic) Passed away peacefully on July 9, 2020 at 79 years of age. Born on March 31, 1941 in Zumberak, Croatia. Beloved wife of 56 years to Zdravko (Val). Loving mother of Michael (Marica), Anthony (Tanja) and Joseph(Teresa). Most caring Baka of Adrian, Katherine and Elena. Predeceased by sister Ana Zupancic (Mirko), loving aunt of Maryanne and Mirko. Dear sister-in-law of Milka Dragovic and family, Zlata Raic and family and the late Stana Jovanovic and late Mara Matic and families. Dearest cousin and Kuma of Janko and Zorica Relic and family and Marko and Branka Relic and family. Dragica will be dearly missed by family and friends in Canada, the United States and Croatia. She was a longstanding employee of the City of Windsor Social Services Department from which she retired to care for her beloved grandchildren. A faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church, her deep faith carried her through the most difficult times. She took great pride in her Croatian heritage and fostered this in her children and grandchildren. Dragica’s greatest joy was her family, for which she will always be cherished. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Friends are asked to meet directly at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Road, Windsor) for a Funeral Mass on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 10am. Anyone wishing to attend the Funeral Mass is requested to RSVP by contacting Windsor Chapel at 519-253-7234 by Sunday, July 12 between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm to secure a reservation. <b> PLEASE NOTE: MASKS MUST BE WORN PRIOR TO ENTERING THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH AND MAUSOLEUM. </b>Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
