Obituary of Nicola Zambito

ZAMBITO, Nicola Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at W.R.H.- Ouellette Campus, at the age of 78, with his family by his side. Born in Montallegro, Italy, son of the late Giaginto & Leonarda Zambito. Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Scalia) Zambito. Loving father of Gino & Vilma Zambito, Joe & Luanna Zambito, Peter & Jennifer Zambito. Proud nonno of Tarassa, Camilla, Elaina, Sofia, Carlo, Angelo, Nicolas, Marcus, and Savanna. Dear brother of Pietro & Angelica Zambito, Norina & Stefano Proietto, all of Windsor and Caterina & Giovanni Bonnifacio, the late Vincenza Scalia & Vincenzo all of Italy. He is remembered by many nieces and nephews. Nicola was retired after having worked for many years at Chrysler Canada and was a proud member of the Montallegro Heritage Foundation and the Caboto club. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, June 27, from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. with Parish prayers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Funeral service on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave) for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
