Obituary of Norman Howard Johnston

JOHNSTON, Norman H. Norman passed away peacefully May 10th at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Gagn") for 53 years. Loving father to Daniel, Michael and Popsie to grandson Ryan. Youngest son of late Leif & Ingrid Johnston as well as brother to late Mildred (late Errol), Gibson, late Florence (late Matt), Rukavina, (late Harry) and Therese Johnston. Loved by his in laws late Albert & Lucienne Gagn", sisters-in-law Alberte (late Ross) Campbell, Anna McNay, Lucie (Duncan) Smith. Brother-in-law of Jean (late Margo)(Madeleine Boyer), Gagn", late Denis Gagn" (Jane Barr). Norman and Denis were not only in laws but best friends. Remembered and admired by many nieces, nephews, friends, relatives including family residing in Norway. Started working at age 17 for Spruce Falls Power & Paper Co. in Kapuskasing where he learned his trade as a welder. After 11 years he became employed in Windsor at the Ford Motor Company for over 30 years. Norman was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus and the Legion.
