Obituary of Michael Hastings-Trew

HASTINGS-TREW, Michael Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Virginia Hastings-Trew (nee Perry) (2004). Loving father of Nancy (Ian Fraser), James (Giselle Emory), and Robert. Grandfather of Callam and Andrew. Loving uncle of Margaret, Elliot, Connie, Don, Doug, and Richard. Predeceased by his sister Shirley Burton. Michael was a teacher for many years with the Windsor Essex County Board of Education. He was past president of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Windsor Centre); a member of the Windsor Air Force Club; member of the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association (Lancaster group) and an Elder at St. Andrew"s Presbyterian Church. Michael was also well known for clock repair. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Berkshire Care Centre for their compassionate care of Dad.
