Obituary of Marilyn Anne Kavanaugh

KAVANAUGH, Marilyn (nee Montello) Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a lengthy illness on April 8, 2014 at the age of 70 years. Loving wife sharing 47 years of love and marriage to Don. Adoring mom to Jeff & wife Sara, Chris & wife Vanessa and daughter Kerri-Lynn. Doting grandma to Gavin, Sydney and Jackson. Dear sister of Frank J. Montello & late wife Norma (1999), Ella ( 2012 ) and Louie Brieda , Marguerite & husband Glen Smit. Sister in-law of the late Anne Montello (2010) and dear sister-in-law of Len & Lynne Kavanaugh and Ken & Judy Kavanaugh. Marilyn was a very loving and attentive aunt to numerous nieces & nephews. Forever loved by her dear friends and family. Marilyn was a passionate, dedicated and respected teacher with the WECDSSB , helping introduce the JK program within the Elementary School System. Her passion for teaching helped mold the precious minds of so many children .In 2001, Marilyn retired from St. Gabriel"s School after 37 dedicated years and was a longtime member of the CWL at St . Alphonsus Church . We will never forget her infectious laughter, sense of humour and creativity. She will forever leave an everlasting imprint by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Friday April 11, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 PM. Visiting on Saturday April 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Road) from 10:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
