Obituary of Olga Helena Konowalyk
KONOWALYK, Olga (nee Misiura), passed away peacefully on March 9, 2014 at Lifetimes on Riverside. She was born on May 17, 1911 in Saskatchewan and moved to Windsor in 1942. She was predeceased by her husband John Konowalyk in 1976, as well as by numerous brothers and sisters of Saskatchewan. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Pidskalny) Swindle and son-in-law Robert Swindle of Phoenix, Arizona, two grandchildren Glen Swindle of New York and Susan Bontems of Maryland; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Saskatchewan. Also, Olga regarded Helen Lashyn and Stella (Lashyn) Clarke, both of Windsor, as her own daughters. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel), 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Rt. Rev. Fr. Eugene Halitsky officiating, followed by interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the Ukrainian Catholic Sts. Vladimir & Olga Church Building Fund.
