Obituary of Maria Casagrande

CASAGRANDE, Maria (nee Lazzarin) March 5, 1928-February 22, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother surrounded by her family at her side at the age of 85 on February 22, 2014. Reunited with her beloved husband Bortolo (December 15, 2002). Loving mother of Luciana Abaldo (Joe), Alvise (Rita) and Denis. Cherished grandmother of Michael and wife Marlise, Julie and fiance Jeremy, Ariana and Maranda. Predeceased by parents Erminia and Angelo Lazzarin. Predeceased by brothers Salvatore Lazzarin and wife Malvina, Domenico Lazzarin and wife Natalina, Mario Lazzarin and sisters Antonia Lazzarin, Angela Lazzarin and Carolina Lazzarin. Dear sister-in-law of the late Evaristo Casagrande and wife Olga, Anna Ugabini (Casagrande) and the late Ambrosio of Italy, Giovanni Casagrande and the late Elena, the late Dovilia Vasto (Casagrande) and husband Felice. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Maria will be missed by a host of people who had the privilege of knowing her and being a part of her life. She always brought a smile to everyone and greeted everyone with her famous "ALLELUIA". Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel), 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 2-5 pm. and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral service on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 8:45 am. from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
