Obituary of Ruthe Eleanor McWilliams
McWILLIAMS, RUTHE ELEANOR (Nee Desrosiers) September 28,1924 to Febuary 10, 2014 Passed away peacefully with her children holding her hands and letting her go into God's loving arms. Predeceased by husband Tom (1984). Cherished mother of Gail (Larry) Berard, Pamela (Doug) Rochon, and Tom (Annie) McWilliams. Adored Grandma of Kristi, Kyle, Tara, Trina, Cory, Noah (2004), T.J. and Eric. Loving "G.G." of 13 great grandchildren. Elly was the 3rd oldest of 16 children and often shared fond memories of life with so many siblings. To know Elly was to know an honest, caring, and unpretentious woman whose light-hearted and feisty ways made her a delight to be around. Her hard work ethic served her well in some of the happiest years of her life when she worked on Fighting Island as hostess and cook. In the passion of her life, her garden, she never stopped working from dawn to dusk. As a Mom and Grandma, suffice to say, she was the best, always teaching us all valuable life lessons. She will be missed always and forever loved. A special thank you to all the staff of Sunrise Retirement, Regency Park and Riverside Place who so tenderly cared for Mom in her last years. The lady with the super "Colgate" smile would want you to know how very much it was appreciated. Following Elly's wishes, there was a private celebration of her life with immediate family, followed by cremation. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East.
