"ELENDIC, Vladimir Passed away peacefully on January 30, 2014. Born November 10, 1928 in Zagreb, Croatia. Beloved husband of 56 years to Dragica (nee: Ore"kovic). Loving father to Vlasta Zdunic (Ivica), Maja Testani (Frank). Cherished Dida of Tomislav, Mark, Peter and Stephen. Predeceased by parents, Mirko (1945) and Josipa (1983). Loving brother of Stanko "elendic (Djurdja) and Marija Maravic (Rade) of Croatia. Predeceased by mother and father in-law Grga (1945) and Marica (1981) Ore"kovic and brothers and sisters in-law, Ivan and Zora Ore"kovic (1979), Milan and Nada Ore"kovic (1999). Loving brother in-law to Ankica and Hase Safic of Croatia. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews in Croatia and Germany. Vladimir was an employee of The Windsor Star (Composing Room) for 25 years and was a member of the International Typographical Union. He was a Lecturer and Eucharistic minister for over 30 years at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Parish. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund or the Seminary of Zagreb.
