Obituary of Marlene Ann Schreiner

SCHREINER, Marlene (nee Durocher) Passed away peacefully on January 29th in her 78th year with her loving family by her side. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years Josef (2012) and by her mother Hazel and father Edward. She has been a devoted mother of Betty (Steve Raby), Jim Schreiner (Maryellen), and Sandy (Roger Sauve). She adored her 8 grandchildren immensely; Rebbeka, Britney, Courtney, Robin, Heather, Greg, Hannah and Braeden. She is survived by her sister and life-long best friend Betty Lachance and husband Armand, and by much adored brother Wayne Durocher and wife Bonnie. She was a devoted sister in-law to Martin Schreiner and wife Joanne, Henry Schreiner (Hillia), Hans Schreiner and Anna Detori of Germany, and the late Rosa Mayer (2012) and husband Josef (1988). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marlene cherished family and friends above all else in her life. She loved you all so deeply. She will always be remembered for her "love of life" and for the tenacity and unyielding will she had to remain on this earth. She truly had a heart of gold. At Marlene"s request, cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Saturday February 1, 2014 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm proceeded by a brief service. Interment of Marlene's ashes will take place in the spring at Ste. Anne Cemetery in Tecumseh. In memory of Marlene donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario. We love you Mom.
