Obituary of Louis Popovich

LOUIS POPOVICH June 21, 1928-December 21, 2013 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the ICU at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, suddenly after a short illness. Predeceased by his beloved wife Norma (nee Minello) (2008). Loving father of Christopher & Ruth, Gregory & Nancy, Mary & Martin, & Matthew. Devoted grandfather to Elizabeth & Philip, Natalie, Benjamin & Anthony, Maya & Alyssa. Proud great-grandfather to Evelyn. Predeceased by his brothers George, Alex, Nick, Peter & Paul. Brother-in-law to Renaldo Minello & Laura Lemire (nee Minello). Survived by many wonderful nieces & nephews in Canada, the US, and beyond. Louis will be missed by many good friends. Honourary member of the Trevisani Club of Windsor. The Popovich family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Windsor Regional Ouellette Campus for their excellent care, especially the nurses and doctors on the 4th floor and in ICU. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (Main Chapel), 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Road East on Monday December 23, 2013 at 2-5 pm. and 7-9 pm. Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 from the funeral home at 8:45 am, then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave) for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery . Donations made in memory of Louis to The Assumption Church Building Fund.
