Obituary of Rev. Michael Joseph Graham

GRAHAM, Fr. Michael Joseph (FATHER MIKE) Born November 19, 1942 in New York City. Rose to Glory on August 16, 2013 in Windsor Ontario. . Beloved son of Michael (1974) and Josephine Quinn (1993), fond younger brother of Robert (Bobby) (1937). Special friend of Sheila and Sean Brennan and Family. Fr. Mike was a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement from 1960 until 1995 . He was Ordained to the Priesthood on May 30th, 1969 at Graymoor, Garrison, New York. In 1995 Fr. Mike became a priest of the Diocese of London. Fr. Mike came to the Parish of the Atonement as Associate Pastor from 1975 - 1978. In 1978 Fr. Mike became Pastor of St. Thomas More University Parish at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. In 1981 he became Pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Lumberton, North Carolina. Fr. Mike returned to the Parish of the Atonement in 1985 as Associate Pastor. In 1995 Fr. Mike became Administrator of Sacred Heart Parish (Ottawa Street) and served until 1997 when he became Pastor of St. Rose of Lima until 2000 when he became Pastor of the clustered Parishes of Christ the King and St. Martin de Porres. In 2003 Fr. Mike returned to the Parish of the Atonement and served as Associate Pastor until 2008 when he became Associate Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. In July 2009 Fr. Mike became Associate Pastor of Ste. Anne"s Parish in Tecumseh and briefly as Administrator until his retirement on December 31st 2011. Fr. Mike has had the honour and privilege to have served as Padre of the Windsor Fire and Rescue Services beginning in 1985 and the Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Services beginning in 1986. He has also served as Padre of Delta Coy of the Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment since 2006. He was a Chartered member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 8919 and also served for several years on the Windsor Cemetery Board of the Diocese of London. E. at Banwell Rd. on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. with a Fire Department Walk Through at 8:00 PM. Visiting will continue on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Our Lady of the Atonement Church ( 2940 Forest Glade Drive) from 2:00 - 5:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Parish Prayers and K of C prayers Tuesday at 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday August 21, 2013 at Our Lady of Atonement Church from 9am until 10:00am. Words of rememberence will shared at 10:00am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Most Rev. Ronald P. Fabbro, C.S.B. - Bishop of London Presiding. Interment at Ste. Anne Cemetery, Tecumseh. Donations may be made to Windsor Professional Fire Fighters Benefit Fund, Tecumseh Fire Fighters Association Fund and Children's Safety Village Fund.
