Obituary of James Joseph Burns
BURNS, James "Chick" (May 14, 1939 - August 10, 2013) It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of James, who passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. James is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Merle of 47 years, dearest sons Brad (Dawn) and Greg (Adele) and cherished grandson Aidan. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Joanne Arnold, brothers Pat (Bernice), Ronnie (Sharon), sister-in-law Rita Burns, as well as many nieces and nephews. James was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his parents Mary (Mullen) and James Burns, his sister Mary Loretta, his brothers Thomas and Robert, and his dearest grandson Brendan. James was a dedicated employee of the Blue Water Bridge Authority in Sarnia for 35 years, before retiring and moving to Windsor. James was well known for his generosity and his willingness to help others. He never missed his grandson Aidan"s sporting events and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.
