Obituary of Warren Watson Hunter
HUNTER, Warren Watson "The Colonel" Passed away peacefully on August 2, 2013 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (nee Ford). Loving father of George (Karen) of Nova Scotia, Gordon (Bonnie) of Windsor, Robert (Pat) of Trenton, Charles (Janet) of Windsor, David (Lynda) of Nova Scotia, Gene (Pat) of Windsor, Yvonne Wright (Gus McCann) of Scarbourgh, Cathie Tellier (Kevin Adolphe) of Windsor. Dear grandfather to 31 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Warren was the last of 12 siblings. He will be missed by many, many nieces, nephews and dear friend and companion Dawn Lesperance. Warren was a World War II Navy Vet, a member of the Navy Club and an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Veteran Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran"s Memorial Service Committee will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visiting continues on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
