Obituary of Vida Korosec

KOROSEC Vida (nee Mate) Passed away peacefully, with family at her side on Friday August 2, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Stanley Korosec (January, 2013). Loving mother of Lillian MacNeil and husband Myron; Marian Costaris and husband George; all of Tecumseh, Stan Korosec and wife Colette of Brights Grove Ont., Elizabeth Cusumano and husband Peter of Tecumseh; Paul Korosec and wife Angela of Sudbury; and Jackie Korosec and Dean Sisco, all of Windsor. Dear "Gramma" of Jonathan and wife Amber, Ryan, Allison and Devon MacNeil; Eric and Alex Costaris; Lauren and Rachel Korosec, Jacob and Kamryn Cusumano and Daniel Korosec .Dear sister of Ivanka Dimnik of Lethbridge, Alta. Dear sister-in-law of Slavka Matos, Milka Fister and Frances Gachnik. Special aunt of Maria Hickey, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Korosec was an active member of the Aqua Fitness Programme at the Y.M.C.A., and was a longtime member of the Choir at Most Precious Blood Church. The family would like to thank CCAC-Revera Homecare Nurses Datsa and Shelly, Dr's Dhar, Scarfone, and Hermiz, as well as the Nursing Staff of the 2nd Floor at Hotel-Dieu Hospital for their care and attention, and a special thanks to Dr. Chris Blue for his compassion and professionalism at this difficult time. Our family has been blessed with wonderful neighbours in Walkerville, many of them have become lifelong friends, and we know they will miss Mom's company and friendship. We, in particular, will miss her smiling face, her beautiful voice, her delicious cooking..(ESPECIALLY the Apple Strudel), and her lovable, caring spirit. Having lost our Dad in January, we realize that they have been re-joined, and know how fortunate we all have been to have had them in our lives for so many years.
