Obituary of Tadyk Wojcik

WOJCIK, Tadyk (Ted) Passed away peacefully on July 25, 2013. Predeceased by Edna Wojcik (January 30, 2010), his devoted wife of almost 60 years. Dearest father of Tanya (Sam) Edmunds and Tamara (James) Lanigan. Loving Gigi of Sarah Manschot, Lacey (Barry) Keith, Laney (James) McVeity, and great-grandchildren Myles and Annie. Ted was a devoted member of St. Vladimir"s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. He retired as Supervisor of Safety at the G.M. Transmission Plant and immediately took up new interests, from jewelry making to art classes, playing piano and, finally, his passion, woodcarving. He initiated the Windsor Woodcarving Museum and his own carvings won many awards. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Our sincere thank you to the staff of Extendicare, Southwood Lakes for their caring attention. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet at St. Vladimir"s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (2000 Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
