Obituary of James Penny

PENNY, James Passed peacefully on June 14, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. James is reunited with his beloved wife Helen (nee Fortais/Telfer))(2011). Loving father to Sue McGuinness and husband John, and Jack Telfer and wife Sandy. Cherished grandfather "Mo" to Brett, Brandon, John, Shannon, Scott, Cara and James. Dear brother to Ron and Heather Penny. Dear brother in-law to Virginia Gherasim and husband Sonny, Margaret Zelezney, Steve Fortais and wife Germaine and Mildred, Cathy and Mary Fortais. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law John, Jim, George, Vasile, Alfy, Andy, Al, Vicky and Anne. James is survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim retired from the City of Windsor, Parks and Recreation Department. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corp. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Iler Lodge in Essex for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to Sherri, Angie, Jodi, Christine and Lorraine. E. on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Rev. Fr. George Sandulescu officiating.
