Obituary of Sarkis Gereige

GEREIGE, Sarkis 84 years. It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a loving husband, father and Gidou on June 1st, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband and soul mate of 62 years to Mounira (nee Raffoul). Loving and devoted father to George (Norma), Antoine (Jodi), Michel (2011) and surviving wife Sharifa, Hanne Amine (Pierre), Charbel (Giselle), Youssef (Tracey), Rima (Rob), Fouad (Melissa). Cherished grandfather "Gidou" to 18 grandchildren and one on the way, and one great-grandchild. Dear Brother to Jamil (Teresa) and predeceased by 2 brothers. Also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Lebanon, Venezuela, U.S.A. and Australia. Sarkis was a very devoted and faithful Catholic and his greatest pride and joy in life was his family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Monday June 3, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. from the Banwell Chapel then to St. Charbel Church for Funeral Mass at 11 am.
