Obituary of Ina Shennan

SHENNAN, Ina (Williamina) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Nana and GG on June 3, 2020 at the age of 88. Devoted wife to Ian with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Loving mother of Cathie Wells (Hank), Scott (Bernadette) Shennan, and Wanda (Mike) Lachance. Dear Nana to Chad, Cara (Shawn), Scottie (Lindsay), Andrew (Stephanie), Brandon (Georgia), Justin (Shannon), Julie (Steven), Christine (Steven), Catherine (Emile). Cherished GG to Lincoln, Delainey, Colby, Kooper, Fraser, Heidi, Sophia, Victoria, Emerson, Wyatt, Emily, Jordan, Lily, Claire, Grace, and Hannah. Survived by her sisters, Sadie and Susan who still reside in Scotland. Ina emigrated from Scotland when she was 21 to join her late husband, Ian, to start their life and family in Canada. Ina and Ian were members of the Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach. She was very active in the Scotch Club of Windsor, where she would bake her famous currant squares. She belonged to many bowling leagues at Super Bowl Lanes, where she had many friends and loved to socialize. She leaves behind many close friends that will miss her dearly. A special thank you to her caregivers and friends at Seasons, Belle River. Cremation arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 519-253-7234. A Celebration of Ina’s Life will take place at a later time. In memory of Ina, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
