Obituary of John Milton Kearns

KEARNS, JOHN "JACK" MILTON Passed away peacefully, with family by his side at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital on May 19, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Beloved best friend and husband of Geri Kearns (nee Meloche Ouellette). Loving father to Mike and wife Leslie Kearns, Kathleen and husband Larry Lajoie and John and wife Jody Kearns. Step-father to Nicole and Ben Metcalfe. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren. Brother of Joyce Durocher. Dear brother in law of Don Meloche, Ernie and MaryJo Meloche, Frank and Leah Meloche, Gerald and Judy Meloche, Irene and Don St. Croix, Louise and Frank Bilick and Richard Shearon. Jack was a retired employee of CN Railway after 38 years of service. He was First National President B.R.C.. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed the Players Sports Club, the Friday night meat draws and listening to the music of C 2 C., as well as spending time fishing at his cottage in Chapleau, Ontario. Special friend of John Lazor, Pat Payson, and Mary Ellen Meloche. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 6 until 9 pm. and Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10:00 am. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am. in the Chapel. Officiating Rev. Murray Steacy. Cremation to follow.
