CARROLL, Daniel Edward "Eddie" Passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 2, 2013 at the age of 87. Dear husband of Rita (nee Davis) for 68 years. Loving father of Sharon, Leo (Chris), Sandra, Susan (Dominic), Sheila Simpson (Cam) and the late Larry Allan. Loving grandfather of Darren Carroll, Tom Laliberte (Julie), Shannon Marra (Joe), Todd Laliberte (Julie), Jennifer Carroll, Jason Simpson, Aaron Simpson (Christine), Lindsay Simpson (Ace), Philip Westfall, Kimberley Westfall (Stu Chauvin), and Tiffany Westfall (Jeff Lefrancois). Dear great-grandfather of Morgan, Sydnee, Jacob, Justin, Olivia, Nicholas, Jalyn, Kylie, Joshua, Hailee, Tanner, Grace, Aiden, Peyton, and Lyric. Son of the late Daniel Edward and Mary Carroll. Brother of Mike, Dorothy, Bobby, Gloria, Sisters-in-law, Pat, Hazel, Predeceased by siblings Annie, Bill, Berta, Sal, Fred, Frank, Barb, Cecil, Jack and Leo. Brother-in-law of Kevin Davis of London, Cyril Davis of Toronto, Leo (Babe) of Cape Breton, Sister-in-law Rosemarie Davis of Michigan, Late Edward Davis, Sharon MacDow, Gerald Davis all of Cape Breton, Melvin Davis of Michigan. Eddie was a retired Caretaker with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board. He was a World War II Navy Veteran from 1943 " 1945. E. on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. A Veteran"s Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran"s Memorial Service Committee will be held at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are requested to meet on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd.) for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation or Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
