Obituary of John Oswald Joseph Dugal

DUGAL, John Martin July 1,1922 - April 18,2013 A human life is a story told by God. On Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the age of 90, our patriarch John, went home into the loving embrace of Jesus Christ. Greeting him was his beloved wife and "dove", Minnie(2006). John will be missed and fondly cherished by his four children, Randy, Carole, Lowanna and Dean. Loving daughter-in-law Theresa Dugal, sons-in-law Terry Easby and Paul Closs. Remembering their "Pipi" with great love , granddaughters Erryn Ashmore(Todd), Jocelyn Closs(Ryan) and the extended families of Cindy and Michael Laird, Todd and Annamaria Easby. Special great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mitchell, Sabrina, Eric, Austin and Ethan. Youngest son of the late Joseph and Anna Dugal. Brother of Theresa and Roger Monforton, Emelda Oliver and the late John, Virginia McKee and Anna Marie(Honey) Bright and the late Toby. Predeceased by brothers Stanley and wife Rita, Bill Dugal and wife Gladys, Lawrence Dugal and wife Joan, Robert Dugal and sisters Grace Higgns, Gertrude Dugal, Lorette and husband Lloyd Fraser, June Guttridge and Joanne Branget. Also, the brother-in-law of the deceased Louis Branget, George Guttridge, Floriman Goudreau, John Goudreau(survived by wife Bernice), Alice and Clarence Girard, Blanche and Clarence Renaud, Peter and Cathy Goudreau and Theresa and Emery Zink. A most favourite uncle to many nieces of nephews. Dad trained as an airforce pilot with the R.C.A.F in 1943-1944. He was married to his love Min and began working at "C.H.McInnis Conveyors" in 1946 and progressed to chief engineering estimator in charge of sales, drafting and field arrangements, retiring in 1989 at the age of 71 years. A dedicated, longstanding parishioner and council member of St. Theresa Church, member of The Knights of Columbus, Bishop Kidd Council #4924 since 1977. John was also a longstanding member of the Suburban Roads Commission. As a treasured patron of his special charity, "Divine Mercy Special Works Conference", John chose to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor. Dad's example of faith, loving kindness and courage is a rich blessing for his family and friends. We truly thank God for allowing John to show us a life well lived. Parish prayers Sunday at 4:30 PM, A Veteran's Service under the Auspices of the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Committee Sunday at 7:30 PM and the family will share Words of Remembrance following the Veteran's Service . Everyone is welcome to join the family at St. Theresa Church ( 1991 Norman Rd ) on Monday April 21, 2013 from 10:30 AM until time of John's funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow, a private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Divine Mercy Special Works Conference (envelopes available at the funeral home).
