Obituary of Andre Joseph Van Hooren

Van Hooren, Andre Joseph (Andy) Age 80 years. With heartfelt sadness and his family by his side passed away peacefully on Monday, February 18, 2013. Beloved husband of 56 years to Audrey Diane (nee Menard). Loving father of Mary Ann Montagano (Nate), Patti Martin (Craig) and Robert (Diana Lombardi). Much loved Papa to Lauren and Michael Montagano, Jacob Van Hooren and Kyle and Kelsea Martin. Pre-deceased by grandchildren Andrea and Daniel Van Hooren (2001). Loving son to the late Triphon and Marguerite and son-in-law of the late Alcide and Elmira Menard. Devoted brother to Dorothy Plante (Keith) and the late Marcel Van Hooren (Eugenie). Brother-in-law to Virginia Hogan (Bernard), Doreen Chodola (Richard), Claire Douglas (the late Donald), Sandy Menard (the late Jack), the late Clarence and Eleanor Menard, Robert and Marie Menard, Margaret Menard (Jack) and Gordon Menard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Andy retired from Brewers Retail in 1991 after 31 years of service and prior to that worked with T. Van Hooren and Sons Construction. He had a passion for baseball which resulted in many long lasting friendships. Visitation will be at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Wednesday at 8pm. Funeral Services to take place on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 10:15am from the funeral home then to St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church (1991 Norman Rd.) for Funeral Mass at 11am.
