Obituary of Jacqueline Marie Deschamps

DESCHAMPS, Jacqueline (nee: Damien) Passed away peacefully at Royal Oak Long Term Care Centre in Kingsville, on January 24, 2013 at the age of 82 years Beloved wife and best friend for 59 wonderful years to the late Joseph (2006) . Cherished mother to Ernest and wife Gloria, Linda Lacasse and husband William, Diane Leavoy and husband Robert, Annette Clifton and husband Scott, Dennis wife Jacqueline, the late Michael (1996) and wife Dana, and Donald & Trudy. Adored grandmother to Beverley, Pauline, Ernie, Lonny, Jamie, Stacey, Carrie, Jena, Michael, Ian, Alexandra, Adam, Steven, Jake, Joel, Mitchell, Ryan, and Aaron, as well as 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Madeleine Marier, the late Theresa Damien, the late John Damien, Giles " Joe" Damien, and Pierrette Dufault Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Jacqueline was retired following many years of service as both a Nurse's Aid, and as an Occupational Therapist at Hotel Dieu Hospital. She was a member of the church choir, and along with her late husband Joseph, were longtime parishoners at St. Theresa Church. Our Mom's passion in life was to love and provide for her family. Her door was always open for a visit. We will miss the family gatherings that included games of Bingo, and the "Skip-Bo" tournaments. The family would like to acknowledge the efforts of all of the staff at Royal Oak Long Term Care Centre, the staff of 2 South at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, and the care and compassion of Dr. Jessica Laba. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (Banwell Chapel) 519.253.7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd., East on Monday January 28, 2013 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Monday at 7:30 pm. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at St. Theresa Church (1991 Norman Road) for visitation from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimers Society, the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated.
