Obituary of Giovanni Meret

MERET, Giovanni "John" Passed away peacefully on September 9, 2012 with his loving family by his side at the age of 89 years. Loving husband of Rina (nee Malisan) and predeceased by his son Dennis (2005). John will be sadly missed by his beloved grandchildren, Gina & husband Trevor Dybenko, Michelle, and Cristina, as well as his daughter in-law Maria. Survived by one sister, Letizia Corrado (Vittorio 2006), and predeceased by his father Alessandro and mother Anna (nee Odorico) and other siblings Emilia Salvador (Guido), Antonio (Iolanda Pecile), Mario (Carla Galinberta), Ottello, and Rosanna Zorzitto (Marcello). Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends, here and abroad. Special thanks to Amy"s Helping Hands, C.C.A.C., Revera Nursing, Bayshore Nursing and Personal Support Staff, and especially the Hospice of Windsor. You were all kind and compassionate and we are most grateful to you for your help. We would also like to express our gratitude to John & Rina"s neighbours, Gary & Laura Gavin, for helping out in so many ways. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (At Banwell Rd.) on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. John requested that no flowers be sent and instead, if you wish, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor.
