Ann, Kelly, Jason and family, our sincere condolences. My memories of Jack reflect a kind, compassionate, humble and funny man. Although I had not seen Jack for a few years, I will always cherish memories of our shared love of music and his influence on me musically. I was always in awe of his musical talent and as a guitarist envied his pickin' skills. He was so kind to us when our parents passed and I know he held a special place in their hearts as well. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I know Jack is jammin' with the best of them...

Dear Ann, Kelly & Jason, I can't say that Jack - for 45 years - was the most decent, compassionate friend that I have beeen blessed to know because he still is and always will be. Our frequent conversations over the past years were strictly laugh fests that made day to day problems seem insignificant. Jack radiated a pure love and concern for family and friends. Although it seems impossible to find solace in his passing, I would point out that the angels in heaven can now get rid of those ghastly harps and learn from the best all the fun that the banjo and guitar can bring.

Jack was not only a good friend but a musical "brother" to me. We played in the late 70s and early 80s in the bluegrass band The New County Line. We recorded an album together and had so many wonderful memories...the stories of which I still tell to this day and will till my time comes. I'm grateful I met with Jack and Ann this summer along with NCL pals Mark Hawkins and Tim Thorne and their partners. Although too short, the time was very meaningful. Jack was a great friend to the musicians of London Ontario and many an hour was spent at Chapman & Hewett where he worked and later at his own shop Picker's Parlour. Jack was one of the best banjo players I knew and had the pleasure of playing with. He was also a wonderful and loyal friend who came on a couple of occasions to see me in Scotland. I'll miss his sense of humour, his optimism and his music. I'm proud to have played with him and proud to call him a 'brother' and friend. My condolences and love to Ann, Jason and Kelly and their families. Love looks good on you too, Jack. Blessings on all of you. Michael

Family of Jack Glennie : Having managed Leamington Youth Chorus which shared several concerts with The Dale Butler Trio, I got to know Jack well and appreciate what a great fellow he was. Was fortunate to run into him a month ago and three other times at Tim Hortons on Tecumseh East. He always said hello and we visited briefly. He was loved his family and certainly music.
