Obituary of Ferucio Henry Bortolotto
BORTOLOTTO, Ferucio "Fred" Passed away peacefully on August 13, 2012 at 89 years of age. Late of Tecumseh, ON. Predeceased (2004) by his beloved wife of 52 years, Connie "Susie" (nee Contini). Loving father to Louise and husband John Comisso, Marie Bortolotto, and Diane Bortolotto. Cherished Gramps to Marie, Michael, Jon Paul, Peter, Anthony, and Drew. Fred was born on June 24, 1923 in Guelph, ON to Lorenzo and Veronica. Dear brother of the late Edith Minello and Edna Keelan. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews for his booming laughter, witty sayings, and sparkling blue eyes. As a dedicated employee, Fred spent 46 years in Windsor"s automotive industry: Bendix Automotive and GM Transmission Plant. He passionately crafted wood projects in his basement following his Saturday morning woodworking classes at St Clair College. Fred was recognized as one of the longest enrolled students (30 years) at the College supporting his "lifelong learning" philosophy. During his retirement, he especially enjoyed cycling throughout Essex County and eating Italian food with his family and close friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 18th from 11-12 pm at GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH - St. Gregory Site, 13789 St. Gregory Rd., Tecumseh with the Mass of the Resurrection to follow. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery, Tecumseh. In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, please consider a donation to Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital Foundation Angioplasty Lab , Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to St. Clair College (Woodworking Department).
