Obituary of Leonard Walter LeMire

LEMIRE, Walter Passed away peacefully on July 4, 2012 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of 58 years to Jean (nee Conley). Loving father to Leonard of B.C., Pam (Devon) Paisley of Windsor, Teri (Gerry) Jolie of Windsor, and predeceased by son Leon (1962). Cherished grandpa to Sabrina (Amanda) of Windsor, and Amanda of B.C. Great grandpa to Sebastian DeRoches. Good friend to Al, John, Jimmy, and Jake. Walt had many accomplishments over the years, which included being a decorated Korean War Veteran, a talented ball room dance instructor, and proprietor of Hollywood Budge Land and Roses by Walter Lemire. He was a proud and world renowned rosarian accomplishing sales throughout the world. His greatest accomplishment in his lifetime was in 1974 where he took every prize at the World Federation Rose Growers in Chicago. Walt was retired from Chrysler Canada, a dedicated member of CAW Local 444 and past president of many Canadian and American Rose and Horticultural Societies According to Walt's wishes, a private family service and cremation has taken place.
