Obituary of Wilbert Lorne Oxford

OXFORD, Wilbert Lorne Born July 8, 1931, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2012 with his family by his side. Beloved wife of 58 years to Helen. Loving father to Pam (Bob) Deschamps, Denise (Dean) Wanless and Bob(Paola) Oxford. Most proud and loving papa to Nicole and Laura, Lauren, Kelly and Madeline, Mark and Jessica and great granddaughter Charlotte. Dad was our role model, always willing to lend a helping hand or a word of wisdom. His strength and love will remain in us always. Predeceased by his parents Kathleen and William Oxford. Survived by brothers Bill (Joyce), Mel and sister Erma (Charlie). Dear brother in-law to Mary Ellis, Emily and Willie Greenwood, Bob and Sue Sabolick. Willie was a well respected teacher at W.D. Lowe and W.F. Herman Secondary School. He was also an active member at St. Aidan's Anglican Church ANiC. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Tuesday May 29, 2012 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service and a celebration of Willie's life will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 10:00 in the Chapel.
