Obituary of Maria Caly

CALY, Maria ( Nee Gerardi) Born in Marsala, Sicily on Feb 12, 1911. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 29, 2012 at the beautiful age of 101 years. Beloved wife of Girolamo Caly (1966). Loving mother of Anna and Mike Miceli. Cara Nonna (Bella)of Jennifer & Richard Kailer, Maria & Ivano Casagrande, Cristina & William Rezler and Daniela Miceli. Cara Bisnonna ( "Nonnina") of Jacob & Faith Kailer, Dante & Selena Rezler and Aiden Casagrande. Dear daughter of Filippo Gerardi and Anna Romano. Dear daughter in-law of Emanuele Caly and Mariangela Cappellano. Dear sister of Gaspare (Assunta), Antonina (Matteo), Giuseppina (Leonardo), Nunzia (Nicolo) and Antonio ( Giuseppa). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Italy, Canada and the U.S.A. Thanks to the ER staff at Metropolitan Hospital, Dr. Minardi, Dr. Ellwood, 4th floor nurses and staff, Becky, Julie and Odilla. A very special thanks to nurse Jen (ER) and Dr. Aoun. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. on Friday March 2, 2012 from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM. Parish prayers on Friday at 4:30 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 3, 2012 at 10 AM from the Banwell chapel then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Donations to the Windsor- Essex Children's Aid Society (Adoption Program) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
