Mena, Joe and family.......my heart is breaking for your loss. Mena, I know the love you have for both your parents, but with your dad there was a sparkle in your eye whenever his name came up...perhaps due to your shared love of art. I recall how proudly you spoke of him during those art classes we shared together at St. Bernard, Mena, and I still cannot not believe that he made those beautiful pieces in your home! I also saw how sweet both your parents were when you received your award last year (sitting there at the table...so cute) and how he was BEAMING with pride at your accomplishment. What joy you brought to his life, Mena, through what you accomplished through your work but most importanly, your family. His legacy of talent, grace and compassion will be such a beautiful example for your children to take pride in as they grow older. His accomplishments were an important lesson for the arts and using the gifts you have......few people have accomplished this locally and have been able to sustain themselves by cultivating their talent into a viable career. Thankfully, your children had time to develop a relationship with him and although the time was short, they have the gift of knowing their Nonno. Love and prayers to your whole family, Laura, Nathan, Noah and Tate xo
