Vittoria was not only a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, or friend, she was an upbeat, kindhearted generous, loving, and lively woman. Her presence filled others with smiles even when conflict came in the kitchen. I can still remember us swinging on Mimi's porch as we always did. She taught me how to tie my shoe as I fell asleep into her arms. Her famous kick lines she put on with me and my sisters were so pronounced as she proved to everyone that she can still move at 80 somthing years old. The reindeer ears she pranced around with at christmas brought joy to everyone....... last week, on Friday night before my nona passed I had a dream. In that dream my mother, mimi, nona and I were driving in a car and nona was sitting next to me she began speaking to me in her hard hearing voice. As words trickled out of her mouth. "I love you so much", I heard her say as I gave her a hug I said,"I love you and miss you." I am so glad I got to say goodbye to my great grandmother after not being able to see her because of her disease. I am very content that she is at peace with her son and the lord.
