Obituary of Gerard Jutras

Jutras, Gerard (Gerry) It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Gerard Jutras on October 22nd, 2011, at the age of 81 years. With his wife of 60 years, Marie (nee D"Amato) at his bedside. He is now in a place with no pain. He will be greatly missed by his son Mark and wife Dee Dee (Darlene) and his three grandchildren, Eric, Tanya and Diana. Survived by sister, Jeanne Senecal and husband Alfred, predeceased by brother Laurant (Larry) (2006). Also survived by sister in-law and brother in-law Lina and Rolf Uber, and sister in-law Isabelle Lesperance, and many other nieces and nephews. Gerry was known in the local stamping/tool & die industry for being an entrepreneur. Starting his own small business in a garage during the 1960"s and developing it to become McBride Metal Fabricating Corporation, a long-standing automotive supplier and employer in the local area. He will be greatly missed by many business acquaintances, employees and friends made during his lifelong journey. We would like to express our thanks to Jackie, Paula and Laura from VON for making the last few weeks as best as they could be for our Dad. We also appreciate the efforts of Dr. Gall, nurses and staff of Hospice Windsor and Dr. Wong. Also, thanks to Jen and Wesley at Met Emerg. for making the last hours as painless as possible, and to Chaplin Paul Sharrow for his words at a most difficult time. Mom is grateful. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME LTD. (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East (corner of Banwell and Tecumseh Rd) on Thursday October 27, 2011 from 7 to 9pm and Friday October 28, 2011 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service for Gerard (Gerry) will be on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 10am in the chapel. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.In tribute to Gerry"s memory, memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of Windsor or VON Windsor.
