Obituary of George Edward Goebel

GOEBEL, George Edward Born September 22, 1931 in Walkerville and passed away peacefully on August 3, 2011 at Metropolitan Hospital. Cherished son of the late Lenhart (1946) and Charlotte (1994). Beloved husband of the late Christine (2009). Dear father of George and wife Kim. Loving grandpa to George. Predeceased by his brothers Leighton(1999) and wife Jean (2002), Regis (2007) and his wife May and brothers Bud, Norm and Frank. Will be sadly missed by his brothers, Ron Goebel and his wife Georgeann and Gordon (late Shirley). Dear uncle to Kim (Jerry), Danny, Cheryl, Paul (Cathy), Lenny (Joy), Jody, Kathy, Russell, Nick (Janet), Paul Jr., Gary (Donna), Keith (Rosemary) and John ( Debbie). George was a retired United States Army G'rine, proud Chosin Few Survivor-Liberator attached to the 1ST Marines and a Warrant Officer 2 with the Commissionaires. George was retired from Canada Post (MSC) and from Fairlane Machine Tools Ltd. As per Georges' wishes cremation has taken place.
